Meet Thora Collard

Thora’s great-grandfather moved to California from Italy in 1910. He found work in the railroad shops, which allowed him to learn the language and way of life. After twelve years he saw an opportunity in entrepreneurship. He installed bowling lanes in the basement of his popular soda shop on the main intersection in Petaluma and its popularity grew. He eventually moved and built a larger bowling alley and his legacy grew and lasted for three more generations. His pride in business ownership and community involvement was passed down through his family.

 

Thora’s fascination with real estate came at a young age, she found herself modeling her mother who was a passionate and successful real estate investor. Thora purchased her first home when she was 21. “My mother always talked about the importance of owning a home. To me, homeownership is an important achievement in one’s life. I like sharing my expertise so that my clients can gain from that.” She received her license in 2006 and prides herself on being an ethical person and agent. As a rental property owner and manager, Thora can provide insight into the hands-on side of real estate investments.

 

Thora likes to play golf, bake, cook, make jewelry, and travel. One of her favorite trips was to The Great Wall of China, climbing its 1,300 steps. Her favorite Sonoma County shop is Powell’s Sweet Shop, a fun, nostalgic candy store. She frequents her favorite restaurant Graffiti, Petaluma River, and enjoys sipping their Petaluma River Mud cocktail. A true Sonoman, one of her favorite pastimes is wine-tasting – she’s particularly fond of Rodney Strong Vineyards. (And Martinelli of course!)
